Manchester United Champions of Europe
I'll echo everyone around the footie blogosphere who say that Manchester United has been the best team in Europe this year and do deserve to win it.
I also thought though, being a City supporter, that I'd share this random thought I had while walking to work this morning.
Manchester United have won the European Cup as many times as Nottingham Forest
Hmm... not sure what to make of that last statement. When I was a kid, it seemed very natural for Forest to be a top team in Europe, but now they're a 'lower league' team it seems like they had a flukey run in the late 70's and it was all a bit lucky on there part.
At this present moment in time, United seem a lot more believable as a European super-power.

yes yes yes of course you're right. i'm just having my fun hyperbole of a Man City Supporter.
Have I told you that Man City are actually the champions of Europe because we've beaten United twice??
