This Benjani deal is just typical fucking City it's not even funny.
That said, I'm not sure if City really wants Benjani, and if this isn't a panic buy. He's hit a good run of form but he's not the quality striker in my opinion that City want. He's certainly not worth 9m.

I think he could be pretty good for City given half a chance. Of course whether he'll fit in with your style of play remains to be seen, but he's got the potential.
